Job Summary
What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is looking for a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to help us expand our landfill leachate and industrial wastewater management practice. You will have an opportunity to contribute to our landfill leachate and industrial wastewater practice strategic direction help us pursue our growth goals and provide our customers with responsive high-quality customer service. You must be hybrid in an SCS office and the Virginia Beach office is preferred.
How you can make an impact
- Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles.
- Prepares and reviews engineering calculations drawings reports and permit applications.
- Assists in projects and personnel as necessary to meet both client and SCS expectations.
- Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods plans and coordinates work and represents the company at meetings and conferences.
- Field work in varied terrain and weather may be required including but not limited to surveys/data gathering construction quality assurance inspections etc.
- Office based tasks including but not limited to: designing treatment systems CAD drafting mathematical calculations report writing creating site plans and facility diagrams permit applications etc.
- Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Environmental Chemical or Civil Engineering or any other related engineering discipline is required.
- E.I.T. strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 months of related wastewater or leachate treatment system research internship or work experience required. Prefer someone with at least 2 years of experience.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Microsoft Office and current engineering design software.
- Valid drivers license required.
Pay Range
USD $65000.00 - USD $80000.00 /Yr.
