Description

Cimarron is seeking aMechanical Designerto support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Forces Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design construction and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB CA F.E. Warren AFB WY Malmstrom AFB MT and Minot AFB ND. Sentinel is a vital nuclear modernization program that will recapitalize the nations aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). We invite you to join our team for this phenomenal opportunity to design the future ground leg of the U.S.s nuclear deterrent!

This is an on-site position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e. every other Friday off) paid overtime and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area a relocation allowance can be provided.

Cimarron is offering a $2500 referral bonus for all full-time hires for this opportunity!

Key Duties:

  • Prepare 2-D CAD Intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) from sketches and marked-up prints.
    Review drawings and documents prepared by others to ensure compliance with drafting standards procedures discipline requirements and applicable national standards.
    Maintain data integrity for component lists to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    Meet project schedule requirements while delivering high-quality work products.


Requirements

Required Skills Experience and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid unexpired Real ID-compliant drivers license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your drivers license or state ID.
  • Proficient with the MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with design/drafting tools such as AutoCAD MicroStationPDS2D PDS3D and Smartplant P&ID Component Databases.
  • Experience working in a project team environment to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 or more years of relevant experience or Bachelors degree (or higher) and 2 or more years of related experience.
