Job Description
STV is seeking a CAD Technician with5 years of relevant experience for a position with our Transportation Group.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Create and update design plans: Develop detailed roadway and transportation plans using OpenRoads Open Buildings Civil 3D AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Generate cross-sections and construction drawings ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers: Work closely with civil engineers to translate design concepts into accurate CADD drawings and models.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy: Perform quality checks to ensure all designs meet state DOT and federal standards while maintaining accuracy.
- Manage project files: Organize and maintain drawings and models using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in drafting and designing for civil engineering projects.
- Experience with Metropolitan Transit Agency Port Authority NJ Transit and NYSDOT.
- Proficiency in:
- OpenRoads
- OpenBuildings
- MicroStation
- Civil 3D
- AutoCAD
- Familiarity with file management and organization within ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering plans specifications and design guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers designers and project managers.
Compensation Range:
