Position Overview

Customers Developer Experience (DevEx) initiative treats developer productivity as a product. We integrate sensible defaults unified tooling and communitydriven best practices to enable engineers to ship business value quickly and safely. As a Lead Full-Stack Engineer on the Engineering Effectiveness organization you will design build and evangelize platforms and workflows that decrease leadtime boost reliability and maximize developer joy across hundreds of product teams.

What Youll Do

• Own critical slices of the DevEx roadmap: developer onboarding platform onboarding and pavedpath templates that get new workloads to production in minutes not weeks.
• Design and iterate on **servicecatalog powered starter kits** (Java API microfrontend eventdriven apps) backed by CI/CD pipelines and pavedpath infrastructureascode modules.
• Instrument and improve quantitative metrics such as Mean Time to First Commit Mean Time to 10th Commit and First Production Deployment while also capturing qualitative signals like the *Developer Joy Index*.
• Embed with product teams through ridealong valuestream mapping consultations and dojo sessions** to surface friction cocreate solutions influence roadmaps and harden sensible defaults.
• Champion DevEx first principles customerfirst mindset insightdriven decisions limited optionality and making the right way the easy wayacross architecture reviews and community forums.
• Partner with Platform Engineering SRE Security and the DevEx Advisory Group to ensure alignment on governance automation and support models.
• Lead innersource contributions and knowledge sharing in the DevEx Advisory Group; publish docs demos and RFCs to scale best practices.
• Continuously evaluate emerging tools (e.g. Backstage Service Catalog GenAI CI/CD pipelines etc.) and drive databacked adoption decisions.

What Youll Bring

• 812years of professional softwareengineering experience with increasing scope and impact.
• A passion for improving developer experience; allowing developers to reach their maximum potential by giving them tools to stay in a flow state by removing obstacles.
• Handson expertise building internal developer platforms or largescale CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS Kubernetes Terraform and GitHub Actions (or equivalents).
• Demonstrated success measuring and moving developerproductivity metrics using data visualization/analytics to guide prioritization.
• Strong coding proficiency inJava plus JavaScript/TypeScript (React/); ability to dive into infrastructure code (Helm Kustomize CDK Argo).
• Experience designing opinionated software templates that embed security observability testing and automated governance by default.
• Passion for product thinking and customer empathy you seek feedback early and often and iterate rapidly.
• Excellent facilitation mentoring and communication skills; thrive in crossfunctional highly collaborative environments.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fieldor equivalent practical experience.
