Bachelors degree in Nursing and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $29.25- $47.55 / hour

Job Description:
To contact patients referring physicians transferring facilities and clinical services to schedule patient procedures or emergency transfers from other facilities or clinics. To provide pre-operative patient and/or clinical instructions which may include the management of critical care transporting of patients sent to the hospital. To coordinate patient appointments and referrals by reviewing clinical charts in order to determine correct procedure modality anxillary testing calculations or clinic notes. May assist in patient navigation if clinic-based or coordinate bed assignments to provide hospital department with accurate scheduling information for appropriate procedures and room utilization. May provide direct nursing care as necessary.
