Bachelors degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.

Acute care experience preferred but New Grads are welcome!

PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Problem-solving ability Ability to teach others and Time management skills.

Good interpersonal and customer service skills Basic leadership skills

Staff Certifications:

  • Geriatric Clinical Specialists (ABPTS)
  • Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (ABPTS)
  • Wound Management Clinical Specialist (ABPTS)
  • Certified lymphedema therapists
  • Certified hand therapists

What You Will Do

Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.

Educates patient and family through instruction demonstration and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan safety issues home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.

Attends and/or leads hospital department and community meetings / educational in-services.

Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration

Physical Therapy department

Work hours: PRN: On an as needed basis coverage between Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM with some weekends and holidays.
