Food Service Supervisor

Every day as a Food Service Supervisor you will:

• Oversee food service operations.
• Supervise and assist with daily food preparation sanitation procedures preventive equipment maintenance and food delivery.
• Instruct food service staff in the presentation and preparation of meals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Drive operational success by implementing and delivering quality and appealing meals.
• Assist with ordering and supply inventory

Devereux Pennsylvania Childrens Services (DPACS) center serves children adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders intellectual and developmental disabilities behavioral emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF) acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP) assessment services community-based mental health services community-based employment training and social skills training and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities autism spectrum disorders concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS) a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors and prevents negative behaviors to create safe supportive living environments. Each year more than 1000 children and adolescents receive specialized care in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face all with the goal of providing each child with the academic social emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required. College or vocational training in food service management or culinary schooling preferred. Food handlers certification required. Knowledge of School Nutrition Program preferred.

EXPERIENCE:In lieu of college or culinary schooling 2 years experience in a supervisory role within a food service setting.
