Job Description

We are excited to offer an on-campus job position for college students! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experiences while balancing your academic commitments. Were seeking motivated students who are eager to join the Ivy Tech team!

Work-Study positions are federally funded part-time positions. These positions are located on campus internship-type positions are available for general office support lab and technology support and tutoring. They also require clerical computing and telephone skills. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities will be explained during the interview process.

The Learning Center Computer Attendant provides front-line support for students faculty and staff using the librarys computer lab. The attendant ensures a welcoming organized and productive environment by monitoring lab activity assisting users with technology and upholding library policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting users with logging in printing and basic software questions
  • Assisting with keeping the Learning Center clean and organized
  • Monitoring equipment and reporting issues
  • Providing friendly customer service and enforcing Learning Center policies.
  • Possibly assisting with the Ivy Tech Muncie Literacy On All Levels Space equipment/ cataloging on occasion.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware software and printing.
  • Reliability punctuality and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.

Work Schedule:
Flexible hours during Center hours though 11 am 1 pm are preferred.

Compensation:
Hourly wage according to institutional work-study guidelines.
