MRI Technician

Up to $10000 Sign-on Bonus!

Schedule: Full-time & variable hours 6 AM - 2:30 PM 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM 7 AM - 3 PM 9 AM - 5 PM typically 8-hour shifts (12-hour shifts is an option) rotate on weekends and rotate for on-call holidays no travel.

Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services including wide range of medical imaging procedures including X-rays CT scans MRIs ultrasounds and other imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Valuing and ensuring patient care patient comfort safety and adherence to imaging protocols are paramount while collaborating with healthcare professionals quality control and the adoption of new technologies while maintaining quality control measures for equipment and processes adhering to strict safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are key functions.

How youll contribute

An MRI Technicianwho excels in this role:

• Maintains a respectful demeanor to patients family members fellow employees and physicians.

• Completes annual MRI Safety Training

• Positions transfers and properly immobilizes patients as required.
  Performs MRI Safety screening procedures on all patients before entering the scan room.
  Includes screening for any metal objects/previous work with metal and surgeries that impact scan

• Prepare patient for I.V. Injections (starting heplocks) and injects patients with butterfly

• Performs quality control on the MRI unit (Daily and weekly QA).

• Performs MRI scanning procedures.

• Performs filming reconstruction of proper images posts processing of MRA images

• Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific care to patients of all ages (neonates infants children adolescents adults and geriatrics).

• Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions.

• Consistently and appropriately follows Universal Precautions

What were looking for
Applicants should be a Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Additional requirements include:

• 1 year of hospital medical imaging experience

• 1 year MRI experience

• Completion of the ARRT or ARMRIT required education necessary for certification preferred

• ARRT RT (MR) or ARRT RT(R) and MRI Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire

• CPR Certification

• ARRT MRI Board Certification
