Position: The Payment Processor receives payments from the consumer and clients to post to their accounts appropriately.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Receive open and sort mail.
Locate consumer accounts.
Operate adding calculating scanning and mail machines.
Apply payments in accordance with the consumers instructions when provided.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments and immediately correct errors when found.
Process and submit autopay and credit card payments to appropriate vendor; manually enter credit card payments received via mail.
Process legal checks.
Balance daily close out sheets and resolve any discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Previous accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Broad knowledge of the laws regulating the collection industry and banking/financial industries.
Ability to operate adding calculating scanning and mail machines.
Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations including addition subtraction multiplication division fractions and percentages.
Demonstrated ability to work with others.
High school graduate or equivalent

Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm

Salary Description

$18-20/hr.
