Job Description

Job Title: Team Manager - Childrens Services
Location:Barnsley -Hybrid (minimum onsite presence required - 3 days)
Pay Rate: 40 per hour

Job Description:

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a skilled and experienced Team Manager to lead a dynamic childrens social work team within its clients Childrens Services department in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident leader with a strong safeguarding background and a passion for driving quality and performance.

What will your responsibilities be

Youll be responsible for managing a team of 7 social workers including 1 Advanced Practitioner within a fast-paced and supportive environment. Your leadership will be key in navigating complex safeguarding cases ensuring high-quality assessments and interventions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a childrens social work team
  • Oversee complex safeguarding cases and risk management
  • Support staff in delivering high-quality assessments and interventions
  • Drive performance and meet service targets
  • Promote a child-centred strengths-based approach
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners
  • Provide reflective supervision and professional development

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Proven experience in childrens social care management
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
  • Ability to lead motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to improving outcomes for children and families
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid model (minimum onsite presence required)
