Job Summary

Make a real difference to someones day. We are looking for friendly volunteers to support our Outpatients Receptionist in creating a calm and inviting space for patients and carers attending appointments creative therapies and Outpatient groups.

You will support us with:

  • greeting and signing in visitors;
  • covering our reception area and taking phone messages;
  • helping to maintain a peaceful and organised reception area.

Times include: Monday 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm (2.5 hours) Thursday 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm (2.5 hours) and Friday 9.30 am to 1.00 pm (3.5 hours).

St Gemmas Hospice is an independent Leeds-based charity and one of the leading hospices in the UK providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients families and carers in the Hospices In-Patient Unit through the St Gemmas community team and at our Out-Patients.

We have around 300 employees working across the main Hospice site in Moortown Retail Hub in Bramley a large chain of charity shops and out in the community. St Gemmas Hospice has a team of approximately 800 volunteers working in a variety of roles supporting departments throughout the organisation.
