Play a pivotal role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Product Development Specialist to work in the Production Optimisation team based at the Liverpool Centre of Excellence site. You will use a variety of instruments and methods to prepare samples for routine testing. You will play an integral role in developing and testing the future of our chemical products for our global customers.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Applying scientific and engineering methodologies to analyse the performance and implementation potential of processes
  • Creating and performance testing of chemicals for new formulations and existing products
  • Collaborating with cross-functional project teams to design experiments to test and verify our products
  • Overseeing the preparation of samples to be analysed for quality
  • Preparing comprehensive analytical reports to provide insight on test results data
  • Following internal Health Safety and Environment laboratory policies to ensure safety compliance and up-to date records
  • New product development working both in a field and laboratory environment to formulate new products
  • Conducting upstream fluid separation processes and techniques
  • Testing products in the field at the customer locations acquiring data collating results and recommending products and services to solve customer issues

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or Applied Fields and demonstrated laboratory experience in analytical chemistry
  • Have experience of using state-of-art analytical instrumentation in academic industrial or commercial environment
  • Be able to accurately perform chemical tests with required quality control
  • Have excellent communication analytical and reporting skills
  • Be a good team player enjoy collaborating and solving problems with others
