S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in We are looking for a talented Mechanical Assembler who is passionate about innovation and their field of expertise enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to helping us become a leader in our industry.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Shift: Afternoon (Mon - Thur 4pm - 2am)

Work Location: 90 Belfield Rd. Etobicoke M9W 1G4

As a Mechanical Assembler you will:

  • Assemble basic mechanical parts. Utilize hand tools and power tools to fasten screws bolts and other hardware to secure components in place ensuring proper torque and alignment.

  • Inspect mechanical components meticulously to identify any defects ensuring they meet strict quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of tasks performed deviations and any quality concerns.

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling tools equipment and materials. Report any safety hazards promptly.

  • Complete in-house training to learn how to read basic blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOLs).

  • Use an overhead crane ladders and other material handling equipment to move and position materials for assembly.

  • Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.

  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

  • Work with departmental mentors to gain and apply feedback in pursuit of improved work quality.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.



Who are we looking for Someone who has:

  • 0-1 year of experience in assembly with a desire to learn electrical/mechanical assembly processes follow assembly instructions and use various hand/power tools to assemble products.

  • Proficient in performing precise and delicate tasks using hands and fingers. Able to manipulate small objects operate tools and handle intricate equipment effectively.

  • Good attention to detail with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently.

  • Ability to work independently and meet the requirements of assigned materials requests.

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments.

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications.

  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate measurements and weights.

  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department.

  • Ability to use hand tools power tools and measurement tools.

  • Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team.

  • Capable of embracing diversity and equity to ensure they contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace.


Preferred

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles.
