Substation Steel Structural Designer

RRC is seeking a talented Substation Steel Structural Designer to join our team and contribute to the future of U.S. energy production. This position is available at our Round Rock TX or Denver CO offices in the U.S. or Toronto ON or Calgary AB offices in Canada. A remote work option is also available.

Essential Responsibilities

Review and interpret specifications drawings and project scope.
Independently create models connections and shop drawings while adhering to project schedules.
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of detailing tasks as per project requirements.
Develop detailed shop and erection drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
Manage assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Maintain high detailing accuracy and accountability.

Job Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Steel Detailer/Designer.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or similar) is required.
Experience with Vault.
Previous experience as a Checker is an asset.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Experience

Autodesk Inventor: 5 years (preferred)
Checker role using Autodesk Inventor: 1 year (preferred)
Other equivalent software experience is an asset.
