Internal Notice for Teamster Team Members: This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill one (1) vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Police department. The internal Teamster eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one hundred and eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the internal Teamster eligibility list. All other team members including part-time/temporary employees along with external candidates may apply for this recruitment. These individuals may be considered after the appropriate recruitment process of the collective bargaining agreement has been followed. If the vacancy is not filled through promotion by a full-time non-probationary Teamster team members the next opportunity for placement will be to hire qualified part-time/temporary employees and external candidates.

Pay Considerations The starting hourly pay for this position is $35.86. Starting salary is dependent on education qualifications and experience. The selected candidate for this position will start at the beginning of the salary range no exceptions. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.
Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week 9 hours per day (36 hour work week) Tuesday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm
THE ROLE
Perform crime analysis for the North Las Vegas Police Department and other authorized agencies. Provide police personnel with crime data analysis for manpower allocations strategic planning and tactical operations; and perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in Criminal Justice Business/Public
Administration Sociology or closely related field and a minimum of two (2) years of statistical and
analytical experience in a law enforcement agency or
Equivalency: Six (6) years of statistical and analytical experience with a minimum of two (2) years of
experience preferably in a law enforcement agency and/or any combination of education training
and experience which produces the knowledge skills and abilities required for the job and related
to the essential functions of the position.
Prior crime analysis training and experience preferred. Completed college level course work in
statistics and research methods preferred.
Experience with GIS and SQL.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid state drivers license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the
ability to obtain an appropriate Nevada state drivers license within required time frame.
NCIC/NCJIS Certification required within six (6) months of hire/reclassification.
