Job Description

Job Summary

The Sheet Metal Assembler works in the metal shop to assemble enclosures panels and related parts using sheet metal fabrication methods. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sheet metal parts using rivets fasteners and adhesives

  • Drill tap and prepare parts for assembly

  • Operate hand and power tools for fabrication tasks

  • Inspect finished assemblies for dimensional accuracy and quality

  • Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve issues

Must-Haves

  • Hands-on sheet metal assembly experience

  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings

  • Familiarity with mechanical fastening techniques and shop safety

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with press brake shear or fabrication machines

  • Prior work in HVAC automotive or industrial sheet metal assembly

Red Flags

  • History of safety incidents or poor dimensional accuracy

  • No sheet metal or fabrication environment background
