The Subdivision Reviewer Sanitarian reviews subdivision applications to ensure that they meet the regulations in place for responsible sanitary development. The position ensures organizational needs are met and clienteles applications are processed per Statute and Administrative Rules of Montana (ARM). The position will assist with administration and application processing with regard to counties that are contracted with DEQ to perform subdivision reviews. The Subdivision Reviewer Sanitarian will also manage citizen complaints regarding violations of the Sanitation in Subdivisions Act (Sanitation Act). This position has a strong communication component that involves contacting citizens private industry and government officials writing approval denial and violation letters establishing compliance plans and ensuring proper resolution to violations.

Qualifications
Current Montana Registered Sanitarian license or the ability to work as Sanitarian in Training (SIT) and obtain licensure within one year of employment as described in ARM 24.216.502
Two years of experience focused in environmental health or a related field
Passing score of 90 percent or ability to achieve 90 percent on the DEQ subdivision reviewer test about applicable subdivision statutes rules and circulars
Preferred experience performing subdivision review under a DEQ county contract in the last two years.
Current valid Drivers License and clean driving record in accordance with State of Montana Vehicle Use Policy Other combinations of education and experience may be accepted on a case-by-case basis..
