Job Description

We are currently hiring an SAP Application Architect to support a Government agency in Chantilly VA. This role requires an active Top-Secret/SCI clearance. All candidates must be willing to work on-site in Chantilly up to 5-days per week.

In this position you can expect to:

  • Analyze design configure and support SAP solutions across various and products within the SAP business suite
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements map business processes and translate them into effective SAP functional solutions
  • Lead workshops fit-gap analyses and design sessions to determine functional needs and recommend best practices
  • Configure SAP modules to support business processes including customizations enhancements and integrations with other systems
  • Support testing efforts by preparing test cases performing functional testing and assisting users with UAT activities
  • Collaborate with developers to design and deliver RICEFW (Reports Interfaces Conversions Enhancements Forms Workflows) objects
  • Develop documentation including functional specifications configuration guides training materials and SOPs
  • Provide end-user training support and troubleshooting to ensure effective adoption of SAP functionality
  • Partner with Basis Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure compliance performance and secure operation of SAP solutions
  • Support full lifecycle implementations migrations and upgrades including SAP S/4HANA transformations and cloud-based solutions
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization automation and improved user experience
  • Serve as a subject matter expert providing input into strategic SAP roadmap discussions and future enhancements

As with any technical environment the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile team members who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems or related field
  • 510 years of hands-on SAP functional experience in one or more major modules (FI/CO MM SD HR/HCM PP PM WM CRM SuccessFactors Ariba etc.)
  • Strong experience gathering business requirements conducting fit-gap analysis and configuring SAP solutions
  • Familiarity with RICEFW development processes and ability to write functional specifications for developers
  • Experience supporting SAP upgrades migrations or implementations (S/4HANA experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and propose streamlined automated SAP-enabled solutions
  • US Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required depending on project assignment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functional technical and business teams
