Our client is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide restorative and rehabilitative services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will work in both center-based and home settings to help participants maximize independence safety and functional ability while collaborating with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement care plans.
Essential Job Duties:
- Administer treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist with vital signs range of motion and strength testing.
- Coordinate with rehabilitation team members to carry out individualized treatment plans.
- Handle scheduling of treatments clinical visits and billing.
- Deliver and document interventions including active/passive exercise gait training ADL functional training and treatments such as massage heat ultrasound hydrotherapy or electrical stimulation.
- Participate in end-of-life care coordination as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.
- Degrees earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
- Minimum of 2 years of PTA experience in a clinical setting; experience with frail or elderly populations preferred.
