Work hours: Full Time (7P-7A) Weekend and holiday requirements

Neuro Tele Department (30 bed) provides care to a wide variety of Neuro Tele patients with diagnosis such as Stroke Seizures Parkinson MS Medical overflow and Telemetry. This unit has had many DFW Great 100 Nurses and is known for their teamwork.
Heres What You Need
Nursing Diploma Or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care required
ACLS within 90 days required
CPI training within 90 days of hire required
One (1) year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
2 years of strong Med/surg Neuro or Tele RN experience in acute care setting including charge/preceptor skills preferred
NIHSS within 6 months of hire preferred
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
