Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Medivet Kenilworth.
Youll be working alongside a dedicated team consisting of 3 CCAs a VCA and regular Veterinary Surgeon and RVN locums allowing you to be part of a collaborative experienced and welcoming environment. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of medical and surgical cases giving you the chance to develop and use your nursing skills to their fullest.
The clinic features three consult rooms separate dog and cat waiting areas and benefits from excellent transport links including a nearby train station.
Kenilworth is a historic market town in Warwickshire known for its charming streets independent cafés shops and the famous Kenilworth Castle. It offers a great work-life balance with beautiful countryside walks cycling routes and easy access to Leamington Spa Coventry and Birmingham.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week with a weekend rota of 1 in 6 weekends at Leamington Spa 24 Hour.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence complying with all regulatory practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
