Eatons IS AER ITD Aerospace Interconnect division is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor - Manufacturing.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $107812.53 - $ 128000 a year.

What youll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Primary responsibility to oversee the Aerospace Machine and Molding manufacturing teams. Manages and coordinates all activities of the electrical interconnect factory in processing materials or manufacturing products in the organization by performing the following duties personally or through production work team members. Set work tasks and priorities; provide technical support analysis manufacturing customer/contract support and procurement.
*This role requires working daily on-site M-F at our Camarillo CA facility. This Supervisor role will support the 1st shift with typical 8am - 5pm work hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Manage a team of 30 or more direct reports to achieve operational targets & objectives.
B. Oversee production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
C. Understanding of California compliance and labor law as it relates to hourly personnel.
D. Develops motivates and coaches team members; as well as support and participate in interviews for potential new hires.
E. Evaluates operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management merit promotions job transfers dismissals commendations etc.
F. Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency quality service and continuous improvement in operating profits.
G. Assist in creation and managing of training plans and programs and promote cross-training opportunities.
H. Promote a Quality Safety and Continuous Improvement culture by demonstrating ownership and accountability throughout the supported value streams.
I. Coordinate execution of manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy customer requirements.
J. Ensure appropriate quality processes and tools are in place and being utilized consistently facilitating training as appropriate.
K. Ensuring that Environmental Health and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
L. Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
M. Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
N. Prepare operational schedule and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
O. Review production and operating reports to assess performance indicators and take appropriate action to resolve operational manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
P. Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards to obtain data regarding types quantities specifications and delivery dates of products ordered.
Essential Functions: (Additional Information)
Q. Develops budgets and resource plans and monitors performance to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
R. Coordinate production activities with procurement maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources machines and equipment.
S. Supports engineering during the design phase providing factory capabilities and testability input into the design and new product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met.
T. Collaborate with peers and supervisors to determine key goals and objectives and corresponding metrics to be completed during a determined period. Review and amend these actions as appropriate.
U. Coordinates and assists with business initiatives participating on teams to drive best practices across enterprise including but not limited to understanding supporting promoting and improving the processes that are followed in Eatons quality assurance initiatives and Environmental Health and Safety.
V. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing production environment.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.
