Position: Labourer
Purpose: Your role is to support the trade team to be as productive as possible.
Reports to: Production Leaders occasionally directly to Senior Fabricators

Trade Requirements
Longvelds workshop environment is considered a safety sensitive area due to the risks inherent in trade activities. As a member of the trade team you must follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and only carry out the listed trade activities where required once you have been assessed as suitably trained by your supervisor.
- assist trade staff.
- wash Fonterra trucks and FHTs.
- assemble and install sheet metal parts equipment and products.
- understand and carry out polishing procedures
- keep workshops and yard clean of rubbish ensuring rubbish bins are emptied on a regular basis.
- drive work vehicles to complete general pickups in support of stores.
- carry out confined space work.
- operate cranes.
- drive forklift.
- carry out quality processes and checks.
assess and plan work according to timeframes.
complete job and stock control paperwork and processes for jobs.
- keep rework and waste to a minimum.
ensure personal tools are maintained and kept in good working order.
