The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) in the Craig School of Business (CSB) at California State University Fresno invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses maintain an active program of scholarly and applied research and engage in service to the department college university and community. Primary teaching responsibilities and research interests are expected to focus on Decision Sciences and Information Systems with teaching assignments based on departmental needs and the candidates expertise. Candidates with especially strong research and teaching experience may be considered for the Brix Endowed Chair.
The ISDS Department currently hosts two options: Computer Information Systems (CIS) and Data Analytics (DA). ISDS offers a wide range of courses within these areas including statistics analytics machine learning database management systems analysis artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

About the College and Department:
The Craig School of Business (CSB) empowers future business leaders by helping students embark on successful careers in business and economics. With approximately 3000 majors we offer bachelors degrees in Business Administration (with 12 different options) and Economics and both a traditional and executive MBA. The Craig School of Business is the first CSU business school to receive a naming endowment a ten million dollar pledge from Sid and Jenny Craig and also the first in the CSU to be accredited by AACSB International (in 1959. Our priority for engaged learning experiences is addressed through internships mentorships applied projects service-learning professional events an international program and a highly involved regional business community. ISDS department prepares a diverse student body in the fast growing fields of Information Systems and Technology and Data Analytics for Decision-Making to support economic development in the Central Valley and beyond. Producing new intelligence from raw data collected by computer-based information systems can help businesses enhance products and services and organizations to meet their strategic goals. Computer-based data analysis and information-sharing lead to better more informed addition to traditional methods of classroom instruction and guest speakers students in these options are exposed through hands-on experiences to new developments in computer technology software and applications.
Compensation information:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated hiring range is $10750-$11750 per month for Assistant Professor (12 monthly payments per academic year). As a member of the 23-campus CSU System we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.

Per CSU-wide policy (HR2021-04) all faculty who will begin initial employment (or return from a 12-month break in service) on or after January 1 2022 are required to perform their work from within the State of California.
