We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically skilled individual to join our Rating Team as a Business Rates Audit Manager. This role involves researching and analysing business rates data to identify opportunities for clients while also contributing to business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the UK business rates system strong Excel skills and experience working with complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct online research to gather information on businesses and their property portfolios
  • Analyse business rates data using Microsoft Excel and relevant systems (e.g. Analyse RatesData)
  • Interpret data from the Valuation Office Agency and other sources to identify potential savings or opportunities
  • Make clear evidence-based recommendations based on research findings
  • Support business development by securing new audit instructions and building client relationships

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in business rates ideally within an audit or advisory capacity
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel; experience with mail merges is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Professional flexible approach to work and problem-solving
