Procurement Officer

a leading South African online retailer is looking for a highly talented Procurement Officer to join our team in our Cape Town Warehouse. The position reports to the DC Finance and Admin Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordinate the packaging procurement process from requisition to delivery ensuring timeous and accurate delivery.
• Monitor packaging inventory levels and compile quarterly/monthly forecasts toprevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Audit that all purchased goods meet quality standards and specifications.
• Keep records of the monthly supplier meetings performance scorecards.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key procurement insights (usage spent per item/supplier)
• Compiling Dashboards/ reports for management.
• Collaborate with packaging controllers to ensure efficiency in packaging department.
• Creating Purchase Orders and ensuring all payment are made on time to suppliers.
• Compile Monthly packaging reports.
• Assist with month end financial reporting: analyse general ledger accounts and posting journals.
• Assist with budget compilations.
• Assist with RFP and RFQ processes during sourcing of newsuppliers/business.
• Update daily dashboards for Management.
• Capture weekly ad-hoc invoices.
• Assist with ad-hoc team responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience within a Warehouse/Supply Chainenvironment.
• B-Comm Degree in Procurement Management or Cost & Management Accounting.
• Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders
• Purchasing forecasts
• Month end reporting and data analysis
• Creating Dashboards
