Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides hands-on nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This includes delivering treatments monitoring patient progress supporting care planning and ensuring safety and comfort in alignment with individualized patient needs.
Essential Functions
- Deliver high-quality nursing care and administer treatments as directed.
- Assist with patient assessments documentation and care planning.
- Support physicians RNs and therapists in coordinating patient care.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain compliance with all safety infection control and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- License: Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
- Certifications: CPR/BLS certification required; IV Certification highly preferred or obtained within 6 months.
