Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare LLCis seeking an experiencedMed Surg RNto join a high-volume Birthing Center in Cooperstown NY.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients conditions and vital signs regularly
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHRs)
Assist with wound care IV therapy catheterization and other procedures
Educate patients and families on diagnoses medications and discharge instructions
Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions
Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed at all times
Support physicians during rounds and procedures
Coordinate care with ancillary staff such as physical therapists or case manager
Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and surgeries
Advocate for patient needs and ensure a high standard of compassionate care

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience.
Active RN license.

Certifications:

BLS (AHA)
