The role:
The Sales Process & Performance Trainer is responsible for supporting the coordination organization and facilitation of training programs that enhance the skills knowledge and performance of the sales organization. This role focuses on the successful execution of sales training programs aligned to business priorities organizational needs and sales strategies. The trainer will have strong facilitation skills knowledge of market dynamics and an understanding of effective sales behaviors. This role requires language proficiency and the ability to support a geographically and culturally diverse sales audience.
Principal Responsibilities:
Sales Training Program Development:
Training Planning: Collaborate with Sales Excellence and segment leadership teams to help plan and execute sales training programs that address role-specific skills sales process and sales tools/systems.
Content Customization & Structuring: Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and the SX Learning & Development team to gather localize and organize sales-specific content that reflects real-world selling scenarios and supports regional needs.
Sales Training Delivery:
Facilitation: Deliver high-impact interactive sales training workshops (in-person and virtual) covering topics such as foundational sales methodologies / process soft skills consultative selling & product positioning sales & territory planning and Channel Management.
Virtual Learning Execution: Lead and support live virtual instructor-led sessions via platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams ensuring professional and engaging learner experience.
Learning Reinforcement: Support post-training reinforcement through job aids learning follow-ups and communication campaigns.
Program Management & Support:
Session Logistics: Coordinate training schedules session invites calendar updates and material distribution across multiple geographies and time zones.
Vendor Coordination & Alignment: When applicable leverage training vendors to provide specialized training or address local language needs
Participant Experience: Act as a point of contact for participants before during and after training ensuring a smooth experience and providing timely support.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
Feedback Collection: Administer and analyze post-training surveys to assess satisfaction and learning impact; identify opportunities to improve content and delivery.
Reporting: Track key learning metrics such as attendance engagement knowledge application and sales performance; contribute to dashboards and summaries for program owners and sales leaders to articulate training program ROI.
Market Awareness & Language Proficiency:
Market Familiarity: Maintain a working knowledge of the companys products industry trends and competitive landscape to ensure training content remains relevant and impactful.
Cultural & Linguistic Competence: Deliver training and communicate effectively with sales teams across regions. Language proficiency in English and Italian is required; fluency in additional languages (e.g. Spanish French or others) is highly valued.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Communications Human Resources Education or a related field
At least 5/7 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational company
Proven experience facilitating training sessions in live and virtual formats
Familiarity with the sales cycle common sales methodologies industry trends and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce & Dynamics)
Exposure to regional or global sales teams and ability to adjust content/delivery based on audience needs
Experience working with cross-functional teams to execute training aligned with strategic initiatives
Language proficiency in English and Italian required; fluency in French or any additional language(s) preferred
Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to lead engaging outcome-driven learning sessions
Knowledge of adult learning principles and training delivery best practices
Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
Travel requirement: 30%
