Job Summary

Intermediate District 287 is looking for a long-term substitute Cook at North Education Center.

Food Service Workers are responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of food. Food Service Workers also perform semi-skilled work preparing cooking and serving breakfast and lunch foods cleaning kitchen and utensils maintaining records and related work as assigned.

Position Details:

Pay Rate: $23.44 per hour
Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Monday - Friday
Location: North Education Center in New Hope
This is long-term substitute position through October (may be extended)

Essential Functions:

Prepares and cooks a wide variety of foods including special diets;
Operates various types of cooking equipment such as stoves ovens steam cookers mixing machines
chippers etc.;
Cleans cafeteria kitchen areas and equipment;
Rotates stock on a regular basis;
Orders food supplies and inspects food received;
Assists in serving food;
Maintains accurate production records;
Accurately performs day end procedures;
Operates food service software;
Possess computer skills including e-mail word and excel;
Performs related duties as required.
