MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Medical Assistants (MA) will partner with the providers of Southern Indiana ENT to ensure prompt accurate and compassionate patient care. Southern Indiana ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role is full-time 8am-5pm Monday through Friday at Columbus with some travel to Greenwood and Franklin as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Medical Assistant
- The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians with the evaluation management charting and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
- The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow and performing basic skills such as vital signs chief complaints reviews medications and point of care testing.
- The Medical Assistant will maintain upkeep of exam and treatment rooms- restocking supplies washing drying and sterilizing instruments.
- The Medical Assistant will maintain their Providers Athena Inboxes
- Other duties as assigned.
- The Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS of a Medical Assistant
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Current CPR Certification required
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant required.
- Experience with Athena preferred
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
- Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS for a Medical Assistant
Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA AMT NHA or NCCT or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.
All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
WAGE:
$16.75 - $18.00 per hour based on experience.
