Insurance Risk Administrator

Position Description:

Supports and assists in identifying risk mitigation strategies by way of financial analysis loss trending forecasting and budgeting for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. This position is also responsible for the collection of underwriting data and for the preparation of renewal materials for review; verification of data values policy audit support and oversight of the claim process initiation through timely disposition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyzes complex insurance financial information to create loss development forecasting budgeting gathering of underwriting information preparation and completion of renewal materials and payment processing. Makes recommendations to management on areas of improvement based upon analysis.
• Ability to create advanced interactive variable financial models with measurement tools including net present value (NPV) internal rate of return (IRR) and return on investment (ROI).
• Reviews monthly loss run reports completes loss run trending frequency/severity analysis and creates monthly reports to provide to all levels of management.
• Collaborates with various internal and external partners in the insurance programs renewal Coordinates and assists with initial claim report completion and submission to administrator. Acts as the point of contact for internal and external customers throughout process along with verifying completion of claim investigation and assisting in information gathering if needed. Prepares for and participates in quarterly claim reviews.
• Handles administrative requests for new certificates of insurance and surety bonds.
• Supports insurance program auditing function by providing auditors with data/underwriting value information/clarification as required.
• Ability to understand and discern insurance policy and contract language construction indemnification/hold harmless agreements law application to claim scenarios sound reserving principles.
• Assists as needed in developing insurance program strategy preparing data analysis for senior leadership and creating presentation of trends.

• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education Experience Skills):

• Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting Risk Business or related field preferred Experience may be substituted for Bachelors degree
• 3 years Industry experience in Insurance Claims Safety and/or Risk Management preferred
• Proficient in MS Office including Outlook Word and Excel.
• Knowledge and application of claims best practices and aggressive claim handling.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen where applicable for position
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently
