The Department of Corrections Division of Health and Rehabilitative Servicesis recruiting for a Supply Technician 2 located in Anchorage Alaska.

You Will Be Doing:

This position conducts a variety of support services including small procurement for medical supplies services and equipment.

The Medical Supply Unit is responsible for managing the medical supply component including procurement property control storeroom inventory and purchase of medical mental health dental supplies and equipment.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:

This position works in the Health & Rehabilitative Services Medical Supply in downtown Anchorage. This position works in an office setting with other staff.

Organizational Awareness: Knows the organizations mission and functions and how its social political and technological systems work and operates effectively within them; this includes the programs policies procedures rules and regulations of the organization.
Information Assurance: Knowledge of methods and procedures to protect information systems and data by ensuring their availability authentication confidentiality and integrity
Operating Systems: Knowledge of computer network desktop and mainframe operating systems and their applications.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience performing tasks such asordering store keeping purchasing sales accounting shipping greeting clients assisting customers answering phones typing filing sorting mail entering data cashiering or maintaining logs.

Substitution:

Education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (2.67 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education equal one month of experience).

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTIES

Starting salary may be approved up to Step D - $25.75 if criteria are met.

CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECKS/APSIN/ACOMS
Please be aware this position requires the use of the Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN)/Alaska Corrections Offender Management System (ACOMS). A security clearance issued by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) is necessary to use APSIN/ACOMS. DPS will deny security clearance for any applicant who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor in this state or another jurisdiction or who may be a fugitive from justice. Additionally security clearance will be withdrawn if DPS discovers that material information was falsified or omitted at the time of the initial application for security clearance.
