Description
The DevOps Software Engineer shall be part of a team responsible for designing developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability performance and scalability of HPC infrastructure.
Clearance
A current Top-Secret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Experience
Masters degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity or bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity or seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity.

- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Experience using Linux tools and developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
- Recent software development experience using Python
- Willingness to learn Splunk for data collection message brokers data storage and presentation tools
- Familiar interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog
- Familiar Message Brokers such as Kafka
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD principles methodologies andtools such as GitLab CI
- Experience with Git Source Control System
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA Confluence)
- Experience with Elasticsearch
