Job Summary
Job Title: Beauty & RetailDigital Email Designer
Location: Bolingbrook IL 60440 (Hybrid 6x a month onsite)
Duration: 5 Months (Contract)
Pay Rate: $40/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a Digital Email Designer/Developer with strong Beauty & Retail industry experience to design code and execute engaging email campaigns including promotional triggered and transactional messages. The role will collaborate closely with marketing loyalty CRM and design teams to deliver high-quality campaigns that align with brand standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented creative and a proven problem-solver with hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Movable Ink and modern design toolsplus a background in beauty cosmetics or retail email marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Design build and test email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Movable Ink and related tools.
Edit and troubleshoot code and design during the proofing process across platforms (Figma Salesforce Movable Ink).
Ensure email designs are responsive accessible and aligned with brand guidelines.
Partner with marketing teams to align with deployment schedules.
Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Stay current on beauty/retail email design trends ESP capabilities and emerging technologies.
Provide innovative solutions to improve engagement and campaign performance.
Participate in process improvements and adapt to evolving business needs.
Qualifications
35 years of experience in digital/email design and development with direct experience in the Beauty or Retail industry.
Bachelors degree in Design Media Arts or related field.
Strong portfolio showcasing email and digital design work particularly in consumer-facing beauty or retail campaigns.
Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar ESP) and Movable Ink.
Advanced skills in Figma Adobe Creative Suite Dreamweaver (or similar) and CMS platforms.
Strong knowledge of HTML CSS JavaScript and AMPscript.
Familiarity with data integrations and APIs.
Experience with triggered transactional and journey-based email campaigns.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Passion for beauty cosmetics and retail trends strongly preferred.
Nice to Have
Video editing or animation skills.
