Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to provide skilled work of more than average difficulty in the installation maintenance and repair mechanical equipment employed in the operation of the water and wastewater treatment plants on an assigned shift. Work assignments may vary between positions and shifts. Employees are responsible for inspection maintenance servicing overhaul and repair of machinery pumps motors and other equipment used in operation of water treatment facilities.
This class works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Requires four years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment employed in the operation of water treatment facilities.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class B Commercial Drivers License with airbrake endorsement. Certain positions may require a Class A CDL with airbrake endorsement.
