Engine Simulation Engineer
Location: Onsite in Bloomfield CT

Responsibilities:
- Build and run 0D and 1D simulation models to analyze and predict engine behavior.
- Collaborate with our 3D CFD team to support holistic modeling approaches.
- Analyze simulation and experimental results to identify performance gaps and propose development strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional design and test teams to drive engine improvements.
- Contribute to engine calibration and hands-on testing as needed.
- Develop and follow standardized simulation procedures specific to our unique rotary X-engine platform.
- Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Stay on the cutting edge of simulation tools and engine technology trends through self-directed learning and formal training.
- MS in Mechanical Engineering (BS with significant relevant experience also considered).
- Strong grasp of thermodynamics physics and combustion engine efficiency principles.
- Professional experience correlating engine simulations with real-world testing.
- 3 years of hands-on experience using GT-Power or similar 1D engine simulation tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to self-direct.
- Familiarity with DOE and optimization techniques.
