Job Summary:

The Kindergarten Teacher at Ascension Catholic School is responsible for creating an engaging faith-centered learning environment that lays the foundation for students academic spiritual and social development. Working within our vibrant North Minneapolis community the teacher will deliver comprehensive instruction aligned with school curriculum Catholic values and diocesan standards. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our mission of academic excellence while nurturing young learners in their faith journey. and deliver engaging faith-integrated lessons that support both academic excellence and Catholic values while meeting state educational standards and diocesan curriculum requirements

Foster a welcoming inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and helps young learners develop foundational academic social and spiritual skills

Partner with families through regular communication conferences and updates to support student growth and build a strong school-home connection

Assess and document student progress through developmentally appropriate methods adjusting instruction to meet individual learning needs

Plan and lead daily prayer religious activities and faith-based discussions that help students understand and embrace Catholic teachings in age-appropriate ways

Collaborate with fellow teachers support staff and administration to ensure consistent educational approaches and maintain a positive school culture

Participate actively in professional development opportunities and contribute to the schools mission of academic excellence in an urban faith-filled environment
