Lays out fits can interpret blueprints to customer specifications for al pipe sized from 1 to 14.
Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training
- 3 years of pipe fitting required
- 3-5 years of experience working in an manufacturingenvironment
- Ability to read blueprints and usemath skills
- Ability to read and interpreta tape measure
- Must be able to work as a team
- Ability to pass a drug test
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems supports or related equipment according to blueprints.
- Assemble or secure pipesfittings or related equipment according to specifications by welding.
- Attach pipes to walls structures or fixtures using brackets clamps tools or welding equipment.
- Modify clean or maintain pipe systems units fittings or related machines or equipment using hand or power tools.
- Knowledge of API 1104 and ASME weldments highly desirable
- Use advanced math including trigonometry
- Knowledge of pipe formulas
- Knowledge of Pipe Fittings and Takeoffs
- Ability to layout and segment pipe to customer specs
- Ability to cut pipe and knowledge of beveling practices
