We are hiring an Undergraduate-level Electrical Engineering Intern for an opportunity with theElectrical and Software Engineering Department where we design electronics hardware and embedded software for innovative space and ground-based prototypes for scientific and technical customers. We collaborate with other engineers on the entire design cycle from requirements definition through design and assembly to final integration of a completed flight unit.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our facility in El Segundo CA.
What Youll Be Doing
You will be working with experienced electrical engineers on various design stages of space-flight prototypes
You may work on electrical schematic design embedded software development hardware testing or lab process improvement tasks
Our customers include internal Aerospace researchers and external government and civil customers
Duties responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned as needed

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Computer Engineering or related discipline
Sophomore class standing completed by internship start date
Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship.
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Familiarity or Coursework in Circuit Fundamentals
Familiarity with design and architecture
Knowledge of hardware testing and analysis
Knowledge of programming languages such as C or C
This position requires the ability to obtainand maintaina security clearance;which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
