Summary - Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Digital & AI

We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Software Developer to join our Artificial Intelligence teams and help build products and services that bring the benefits of our innovative technology to Genesys customers.

As an SDET you will design and develop automated test frameworks and cloud-based test infrastructure that ensure the quality and reliability of our software deliverables.

As a member of a cross-functional development team you will also ensure the scalability availability and correctness of the entire platform while delivering high-quality code.

Candidates for this position are effective programmers ideally in Python (must-have) and can quickly learn new techniques and languages. While the SDETs primary focus is on automation efforts within a single team they also drive integration with other groups to maximize value for customers.

We emphasize Continuous Delivery with a QA Ops mindset embedding test automation monitoring and quality engineering throughout the development lifecycle. This gives you the opportunity to work with technologies such as Jenkins AWS and Docker.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with senior SDETs and engineers to expand existing automation solutions and create new ones.

Write automated functional acceptance tests at the API level and agentic evaluation tests to validate AI-driven behavior

Maintain automated test jobs in CI/CD pipelines.

Perform exploratory testing to ensure functional and usability integrity.

Drive performance/load testing to validate scalability.

Contribute as a delivery team member through Agile Scrum representing testing and quality assurance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline.

2 years of experience in Software Development in Test or Software Development.

Experience in Python (must-have) for building automation frameworks and test suites.

Familiarity with API testing frameworks and UI automation tools (e.g. Selenium Playwright Cypress).Hands-on experience with Agile software development practices.

You embody a QA Ops mindset and champion Continuous Delivery best practices.

You are curious self-driven and not afraid to ask questions

Demonstrated awareness of modern AI technologies and their implications (safety privacy reliability) with role-appropriate skills developed through internal training and applied practice
