DescriptionProgram Requirements
- Pass a criminal background check
- Complete the 35-hour Victim Advocate Training Academy
- Go on a ride-along with a Police Officer
- Shadow an experienced victim advocate
- Commit to four on-call shifts a month (12 hours each)
- Attend a two-hour educational/debriefing meeting each month
- Commit to a minimum of one year of service
- Have reliable transportation and current insurance
- Be at least 21 years old
