How will you make an impact

The Manager Purchasing has overall responsibility for leading a team of procurement professionals responsible for managing the acquisition of inbound materials and this role you will balance maximum product availability with strategic inventory plans while driving productivity.

What you will do:

  • Individual contributor performance management and development: coaching motivating performing employee reviews determining compensation critical metric management goal setting and getting results.
  • Implement inventory control programs including Pay at Consumption and Just-In-Time to achieve cash flow objectives without compromising material availability.
  • Manage formalized risk mitigation programs to reduce vulnerability of supply chain interruptions.
  • Drive effective supplier management relationships focused on quality supply assurance and cost.
  • Present procurement strategies processes and policies to internal and external customers.
  • Achieve financial goals of the Procurement and Operations organizations.
  • Lead and/or participate on continuous process improvement teams.

How you will get here:

Education Experience

  • BS in business engineering supply chain management or technical oriented field required.
  • APICS CPSM or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with increased responsibility and complexity in Purchasing Sourcing or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems placing and managing purchase orders.
  • 3 years of people management project management and/or process improvement experience preferred.

Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education training and relevant work experience may be considered

  • Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and data analytics to root cause complex issues and identify potential solutions.
  • Customer Focus: Cultivate a customer centric environment and ensures that organizational resources are focused on meeting customer needs.
  • Technical knowledge of life sciences manufacturing preferred
  • Experience operating in PRMS/AS400 or Oracle/JDE E1 MRP systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a virtual team structure.
  • Proficiency with the English language

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $84400.00$112500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes:
