The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications forelementary level (grades K-5) teachers for the 2025-2026 school year at Harmony Academy of Music and the Arts as part of its Project Elevate Initiative.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Elevate Initiative is a strategic approach to boosting student achievement by investing in our faculty and staff.
- Through intentional professional growth opportunities we empower educators to refine their craft directly impacting student success.
- In recognition of the additional effort required to support students in innovative ways beyond the traditional classroom we provide competitive compensation.
- Our goal is simple: retain the best recruit the best and equip our students to achieve their best.
Include in overall salary
- An additional 10-day contract for target professional development (200 total days)
- $5000 Elevate Stipend
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree from accredited university
Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of subjects assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
The Board may find appropriate and acceptable alternatives to the above qualifications.
