Job Summary
Description
- Licensure: Current license as Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or related field preferred.
- Experience: Two years of related previous experience in PACU/PREOP required previous surgery center experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Specialty certification preferred.
- Ability to read write and speak the English language.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients their significant other(s) surgical center staff physicians/surgeons and other health care workers.
- Computer skills.
- Regular patient contact.
- Other Contacts: Regular contact with families patients and the general public.
Working Conditions:
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Significant occupational risk
Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
