Job Summary
Job Title: RN Adult Care (Home Health)
Location: New York NY (Queens Borough ZIP 10004)
Duration: 3 Months (Contract)
Hours: 40 hours per week 8 hours per day 5 days per week Must be available every other weekend
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Adult Care to join our team on a 3-month contract. This role is based in the Queens Borough and focuses on providing high-quality home health services to adult patients. The RN will manage 48 cases per day delivering patient-centered care and supporting recovery independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
Provide in-home nursing care to adult patients in accordance with care plans.
Conduct patient assessments monitor vital signs and administer prescribed treatments.
Educate patients and families on disease management medications and home care techniques.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate timely records.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of previous acute care experience in MedSurg Maternal & Child Care Critical Care or Pediatrics.
Current Adult Care home health experience required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple home visits per day (48 cases).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Education
Required: Associates Degree (ASN ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.
Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State RN License.
Primary Source Verification of license and registration with the NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
