Join Hitachi Energys innovative R&D team as a Software Developer where your work will power the future of energy distribution! Based in either Raleigh NC or Jefferson City MO youll collaborate with global experts to develop cutting-edge software for the distribution transformer business. This is your chance to shape technology that impacts communities worldwide all while growing your skills in a supportive forward-thinking environment.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.
This role requires an on-site presence and includes up to 10% global travel based on project needsgiving you the opportunity to connect with international teams and see your work in action.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Lead and support the development of electrical design software for our Jefferson City factory.

  • Upgrade and modernize codebases to the Core framework.

  • Build and enhance Azure-based applications.

  • Design and update architecture for electrical design tools.

  • Drive innovation through proof-of-concept projects and new technologies.

  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.

  • Implement new features resolve bugs and refactor code for quality.

  • Collaborate in an Agile multinational team and document new developments.

Your Background

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering computer science or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on software development experience.

  • Proficiency Framework ( or C#); .Net Core experience preferred.

  • Experience with version control (Git) and SQL Server (MS SQL).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure development tools.

  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.

  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design and development with a focus on Dry-Type and Liquid-Filled transformers in the power industry.
