Job Summary:
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a full time (1.0FTE) open rank Instructor - Professor in all specialties to support our site of practice at Medical Center of the Rockies in Northern Colorado. These specialties include Glaucoma Cornea Retina Uveitis Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmology. This position will provide outpatient medical and surgical management of these specialties at UCH and Medical Center of the Rockies in Northern Colorado.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for direct outpatient medical and surgical management of specialty patients at UCH and Medical Center of the Rockies in Northern Colorado.
Provides resident teaching and basic or clinical applied research.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora and Loveland CO.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor Senior Instructor Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Instructor
Qualified candidates will be M.D. or D.O. trained and have completed an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
Must be board certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
Completed approved residency program
Senior Instructor
Qualified candidates will be M.D. or D.O. trained and have completed an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
Must be board certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
1 year of experience in one ophthalmology specialty to include: Glaucoma Cornea Retina Uveitis Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmology
Assistant Professor
Qualified candidates will be M.D. or D.O. trained and have completed an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
Must be board certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
Fellowship trained in one ophthalmology specialty to include: Glaucoma Cornea Retina Uveitis Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmology
Associate Professor
Qualified candidates will be M.D. or D.O. trained and have completed an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
Must be board certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
3 years of experience at an associate professor rank at an AMC with in the following subspecialities-: Glaucoma Cornea Retina Uveitis Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmology
Professor
Qualified candidates will be M.D. or D.O. trained and have completed an approved residency program in ophthalmology.
Must be board certified or eligible and have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
5 years of experience at an professor rank at an AMC within the following subspecialities: Glaucoma Cornea Retina Uveitis Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmology
Preferred Qualifications:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$190000-$250000
Senior Instructor
$200000-$350000
Assistant Professor
$250000 to $500000
Associate Professor
$300000 to $600000
Professor
$350000 to $650000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
