About the Role
The primary purpose of the Lead Distribution/Material Handler is to assists in coordinating the activities of employees engaged in materials receipt and distribution at University Hospital. Performs material handler duties and operates with high proficiency and skill all equipment in the receiving and storeroom areas.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do
- Organizes and assigns work and develops effective working procedures routines and schedules for material handlers assigned to duty in the line distribution storage rooms.
- Performs material handler duties in conjunction with lead responsibilities.
- Provides work direction and training to employees to ensure proper receipt verification and prompt delivery of supplies to departments within University Hospital.
- Works in conjunction with the Supervisor to ensure orderliness and safety. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Assists in resolving employees problems and/or refers matters to the supervisor. Assists the supervisor in review of receiving or shipping notices and reports.
- Takes an active role in the receiving entity of the Department and makes sure incoming stock is put away correctly.
- Conducts frequent routine rounds of University Hospital to ensure work performance of staff and identify any customer service issues.
- Understands and adheres to University Hospitals compliance standards as they appear in University Hospitals Corporate Compliance Policy Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal state and University Hospital regulations laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Qualifications
What Youll Bring
Required:
- Three (3) years of progressively more responsible experience in work involving receiving recording storing and distributing supplies in a storeroom or receiving department setting.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency to perform job duties.
- Demonstrated proficiency and skill in operating equipment and performing work in receiving and Storeroom functions.
- Must have a valid Drivers license in good standing.

Compensation
In compliance with New Jerseys Pay Transparency Act the salary range for this position is TS/1450 :: $20.93: $21.43: $22.07 per hour. University Hospital considers multiple factors when determining compensation including (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates relevant work experience education and training key skills internal equity market data and organizational needs
